I worked at a school specialising in children whose needs were different from mainstream education and the rewards are amazing. Whether you choose to use the term SEN (Special Educational Needs) or SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), each child needs treating with respect and care and I never fail to enjoy the fun and surprises - the extra challenges bring extra rewards.
I pride myself in being able to comminicate well and bring out the best in these children, taking time to understand what makes them tick and hopefully, get the best from them for taking photos.
My little girl is 5 years old and has Down Syndrome. Ben was amazing with her, he didn’t rush her and made her feel relaxed.
Ben even did some signing language with Connie so they could communicate.
